We survived the first month!!

My hands and feet have grown a little bigger...

My t-shirt fits a little better....
I have grown a little taller....
and learned to lift my head a little higher...
but most of all I still like to be wrapped like a burrito and sleep a little longer!

That's so random

We haven't really been doing much lately, just a few random things here and there.

We met up with our fellow Rossies and got in a VERY HOT game of mini-golf this past weekend. I have no idea who won because we were all to hot and sweaty to add up our score cards. In fact, I don't think the kids even finished playing all 18 holes, instead they went back to the clubhouse and sat in the air conditioning!
Kordale did his usual sleep through it all :)
Later that night we met back up and had a jam session with one member of "Hans and the Hillbillies" (this was/is a group put together from Ross students, they used to play on a regular basis in St. Kitts at one of the beach bars.)
Everyone wanted in on the fun! We had a great night of songs and laughter. However, Brent now has a drawer full of sharp knives thanks to Chad and his OCD! :)
I picked up an extra passenger for the diaper bag. Kettie was scared of the guitars and just couldn't find a place to feel safe, so I had her climb in the bag. She nuzzled right in and went to sleep.
I think it's safe to say Kettie has decided that this little boy is here to stay and so she better protect him. Whenever we have Kordale down at her level we find Kettie laying with him, whether it be in the bouncy seat, the swing, his car seat or laying in my bed. She doesn't get in his cradle though.
Dr. Utah has been busy caring for the horses on his equine rotation. He is taking care of this mini shetland and her baby.

Morgan wasn't to sure of the mom, she is a bit nervous about people being around her baby!
The girls loved going to the clinic with Chad to do the evening rounds and visit all the different animals at the hospital.

Three weeks down!

People have been telling me I need to post more pictures of the new man of the house. Something about they want to see how much he's changed on a weekly basis. He got weighed this week and is up to 7 lbs. 7 oz., so he's finally fitting into more then the premmie clothes.
And for those who wonder if he has clothes because it seems all the pictures are of our nudity-cutie! Yes, he has a closet of clothes but we let him lay in the sun in the morning and that's when his eyes are open so I took advantage of getting some photos of him awake.
We are still trying to capture that moment of him lifting his head! He can do it but it's usually when he's laying on our chest and wants to look at us. Maybe next week we will master that one.

Weekend Fun!

The girls had been begging to return to the water park, but it's been so HOT here we haven't really been able to take Kordale out for a long time. This weekend we decided to take them since it would only be for a few hours and the temperature has been a little bit lower.

Chad and Kordale were more then happy to stay in the shade and take a nap. With a wet T-shirt on and a slight breeze, they were both set!

When the shade started coming to the kiddie pool area, we ventured over there to watch Morgan play. I would have preferred the sun so I can work on getting some kind of tan again!

Morgan loves the big rides, but she also enjoys getting to play on the little stuff too! We hope to go a few more times before the park closes for the summer.
When we left the water park we headed over to the amusement park where Lady Antebellum was performing. The concert tickets are included in our season passes for the parks so we are sure to take advantage of the evening out. The girls got to shake hands with the group when it was over, but we didn't get any pictures.

Bath Time

"What are you doing to me?" I'm sure that is what Kordale was thinking when he got his first bath. He didn't like it at all!!

But the second time of going solo in the tub wasn't as bad, in fact he actually seemed to almost like it.

Two Weeks Old

Where did the time go? I can't believe our little Kordale is already two weeks old! Some days it seems he's been around forever and others it doesn't seem so long at all.

The girls and I had a good time capturing every detail of this little guy! We all love him and just can't get enough of him.

Morgan loves to give him kisses and hold him for a minute or two, then when he starts to get fussy she's off and running. Funny Morgan story, the other night she was sitting next to me and I said to Kordale "There's Morgan" She looked at him and said "Yeah, the nice one".

Even Kettie wants to be close to Kordale, but gets anxious when he's crying. Rare occasion we managed to get a picture with both their eyes open!

Kordale's blessing

Sunday we had Kordale's baby blessing at church. He wore the same gown that all 3 of the girls wore on their special day and we hope that in MANY years to come the gown will be used by our grandchildren. The girls squaked some at the idea of Kordale wearing a dress, but I kept telling them it was a gown. I also added the blue ribbon to give it a more boy touch :)

Don't we all look thrilled? Chad of course didn't want his picture taken at all but did just to keep the women in the house happy, thank you Chad for being such a good dad!
Also, keeping with tradition in our family Grandpa Harris had the honor of blessing Kordale. Thank you mom and dad for coming and helping out for the past few weeks, it was fun having you here and I know the girls miss you already.

4th of July

After being away from the good 'ole USA for a few years on July 4th we were really looking forward to some hometown fun. However, the day started out rather cool and VERY rainy! There are no parades or park entertainment here in Stillwater, so we missed those activities. Instead we found a berry patch to go pick fresh blackberries from and then had friends over for an evening of BBQ and fireworks.
The kids loved getting out and picking berries, they each had a container to fill. Grandpa and I ate more then we put in the containers but eventually we were full!
Jordan made us a cake to add to our potluck of food. We had to tease her though about her backwards 4, she blamed it on her backwards dad...LOL!
Chad had gone for 3 years with no fireworks, so he was sure to buy plenty this year. Everyone had a great time with the show he was able to put on with all the variety. Even Lexi joined in the fun once we gave her the ear muffs (she didn't care for the loud noise).
All the while Kordale hung out in his swing sleeping in his usual awkward position.
