Need a title for this post...any ideas?

Well, I'm not sure what title to give this post and maybe as you read this you will think of something for me. (leave me a comment and I'll change it to what fits best) Yesterday, Morgan and I went to summer camp in the morning with the girls. I took a few pictures of different things going on. Then we loaded the bus for a field trip to the ice cream making place. I pulled out my trusty camera again to snap some pictures only to find that......the LCD screen got broken somehow!!!!! I nearly fainted! For those of you that know me well know how much my camera means to me. It still works but I have no way of looking at the pictures after taking them to see if I need to make an adjustment to the settings. AHHHHHHHH!!!
So dad, when you come I will probably be sending home my camera in hopes you can find a good repair shop and get my trusty friend repaired. (I may ask to borrow your point and shoot also, so I don't have to finish off my last few months here with nothing...and I can get some more underwater pics :))
OK....WAIT! The day is not a total loss. I took the kids out of camp early and we went with the Allred's and our friend Jaimie to the beach. We went snorkeling and I found a number of shells I haven't seen before. I came back to shore and showed "encyclopedia Jordan" and she started jumping for joy saying that one of the shells was a rare find and rambled off the name of it. We bought a book a few weeks ago about the shells of the caribbean and she has them all memorized. It was a fun few hours and I will have pictures hopefully soon to post when I get them.
The day doesn't end there though...well kinda it does because the rest of the story we don't know until morning. Chad and the girls leave for school and as they are getting ready to leave this morning I say to Chad "Where's the 4-wheeler?" He looks at me with utter confusion while looking at the front of the car where it should be parked. LOW and BEHOLD....there is NO 4-wheeler. Many of you are saying AGAIN? Yes, we were hit again. I swear we are not meant to be driving that thing. Funny thing is, Chad had it taken apart and part of the exhaust is in my kitchen window. So the 4-wheeler won't even run as is. Sunday we had some guys stop us on our way to church on one of the side roads and ask if it was for sale, we said no. And last night it was stolen....HMMMMMM. I'm not placing blame but this is almost the same way it happened last time. We were asked if it was for sale and then woke up to it gone. SIGH!!! Oh well, worse things could happen to us.

Traditions

Since our moving to St. Kitts it has been a weekend tradition to stop at one of the roadside BBQ's and get dinner. We found our favorite right away and even though we have tried others we still always come back to "the chicken lady". She recognizes our car and could probably have our order ready by the time we get out and walk across the street to her. Chad and Jordan like her fish. The rest of us stick with chicken. Once in a while we will get ribs or pork. It's all REALLY good and works for a fast food fix on a weekend night when I don't want to cook.

Volleyball Friday's

Every Friday we have spent the afternoon at the beach for the past 5 semesters watching Chad play volleyball. The girls like to go and play in the water and I like to get out of the house and talk to another adult. They have had a really good team and won the tournament numerous semesters now. This weekend was the last time they will play together since 4 of them will be moving on to clinics.

Catamaran Trip with summer camp

Morgan and I didn't make it to summer camp this past week with the girls on the account of we have 3 weeks left until my parents show up to take the girls back to Nevada with them....sooooooo, I'm feeling the crunch of needing to get ALOT of things sold and items securely packed for the long journey home. However, Morgan and I did take time to go on the catamaran trip at the end of the week. The Allred's got to go with us because they will be attending Ross Prep school in the fall. It was so much fun to go and enjoy the sun, water, and friends!

Summer Camp Week Four

Safari Week
The girls only went to a day and half of camp this week. So we have no pictures to share. Jordan went all day on Friday while Tori stayed home and slept in with me. Jordan went to Ottley's Plantation to do some orienteering and earn her pin for the week. She seemed to have a fun day.

FHE Water balloon fight

When RaeAnn came to visit she brought us a big bag of water balloons. Who would have thought we would have so much fun with something so simple. We invited our friends the Allred's to come and join us Monday night for family night. It was dark, but still very warm out and we had about 30 minutes of non-stop laughter! Everyone joined in except Damon of course, he enjoyed the safety of his dad's arms, which made Adrian think he would get to stay dry...but we couldn't let that happen! After getting soaked, we came in and made our famous candy sushi and mango smoothies.

Girlfriend Week!

My dear friend RaeAnn came to see me this past week,that is the reason I have not been blogging is because we were to busy running from here to there and back again. We had such a good time of staying up WAY to late, laughing alot and just enjoying the beauty of the island! Thank you RaeAnn for spending the time and money to come see me, it was just what I needed at this point in my life!




We went so many places and tried to do all the island things as well as get in our water time on a daily basis. We are all fish now! Thank you Chad for keeping track of the girls and trying study so we could enjoy a "girls night" at the Marriott just lounging in the pool. We went on a catamaran trip to Nevis, where one of the deck hands was trying his hardest to get RaeAnn's attention. She spoiled the kids at the pool and bought drinks and fries to share. We took her to pick fresh avocadoes and mangos from the trees. We enjoyed Mango smoothies every day...sometimes twice a day !

Summer Camp Week Three

It's Carnival Time!
Last week was carnival week and packed full of fun and games, afterall isn't that what you do at a carnival?
The week started off with everyone making their jester hats to be worn throughout the week.


It was such a HOT week that we were all happy to have LOTS of water games to play.


You gotta eat chili dogs, caramel popcorn and elephant ears when at the carnival. We went to Ms. Ria's house and had a fun afternoon of cooking and lounging.


A carnival isn't a carnival without some clowns! Mrs. Prosser and Mr. Berg were good sports and wore the clown suit on a few occasions.


We all got a turn at trying to play the steel pans which are a big part of the Caribbean carnival held at Christmas time. It was amazing to listen them play and think that such beautiful music could come out of an old oil drum.


On Friday for the grand finale of carnival week, bouncy houses, electric cars, cotton candy machines and lots of other fun was brought in for the day. The kids ran from one spot to another and had ALOT of fun! Dora even came for a visit and of course all the younger girls LOVED that!
