Two Months

*****UPDATE******
Kordale tipped the scales at 11lbs. 8 oz. and measured a whopping 23 1/5 inches tall! No more newborn clothes and diapers. Time to move up in sizes.
Could someone tell him to slow down and stop growing up so fast?
I'm getting bigger everyday and soon this shirt will fit just right!
A nice and clean little boy, now it's time for a nap.

Don't have a weight or height measurement yet, that will follow at the end of the week after we go get those dreaded shots :(

1st day of Kindergarten, 4th grade and middle school

School started today!

Jordan actually went out the door first but I forgot to take her picture. It was rainy and lightening was going on over our house so we sat at the end of the street in the car and waited for the bus.
Morgan and Tori were excited to get going. If only every morning of school went as smoothly as the first day of school mornings go....you know the kids get ready really fast without all the struggle to get them out the door in time.
Anxiously watching for the bus to come. Morgan and Tori also got the taxi ride to the end of the street because of the rain.
Off to school on the big yellow bus. Morgan did really well with the bus and was excited about her first day of Kindergarten. Until she got to school and I walked her into her classroom, then the brakes went on and I had to coax her into the class. Luckily, the teacher came to my aid just as the water works started with Morgan. WHEW, I got out of there just in time before my own water works started. Afterall, Morgan has been my little companion through alot of changes in our family. Of course though when she got home it was all grins and laughter as she told/reenacted her first day of Kindergarten. However, she has already decided the black haired lunch lady is MEAN!
Jordan after her first day of middle school. She had an exciting day also, for some reason the school took her off their records because they claim they were informed she was moving to Nevada this week. HMMMM...I sense some serious miscommunication between elementary and middle school. After sitting in the office for 2 hours and being sent to 7th grade not 6th grade, she finally got re-enrolled and is now officially in 6th grade.
As for me, well I enjoyed a VERY quiet house and for the first few hours didn't really know what to do with my time. I quickly got into gear though and did some cleaning up that has been neglected due to our playing for the past few weeks. But, I'm tired tonight...this getting up at 6:30 with Jordan is going to KILL me!!!

Our final weeks of summer

We've been busy these past few weeks. We wanted to get in all the fun we could before school started. We began with Tori's birthday and a day at the water park, then her party where we ate smore's and ice cream cake (can we say sugar overload?) . We spent a few mornings at the splash pad, running through the COLD water. Then finished off our final days with a trip to the zoo! WHEW...we are wiped out!

Mud Babies

Fun in the mud on a hot summer day!
Even the dog got in on the fun...this was all from rubbing against Morgan, she didn't actually roll in the mud.
Then mom had fun....spraying them off with that COLD water! BAAAHAAAA!!!!

Bread, Marvelous Bread!

Jordan made bread today....

and mom said it was SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

Sunday Pictures Take One

This is what happens when you try to take pictures of your children. No one wants to cooperate and they just want to be silly!
Morgan had to be bribed. I told her she could hold Kordale for the picture. (Don't mind the big red spot on her cheek, that is a goat bustin' incident that she so lovingly picked open on the way to church)
Tori of course wanted her picture taken with Kordale also
Jordan was just happy to get a turn and be the big sister. In the end this is the best picture I got! I took a few with her holding Kordale and when I moved him to someone else...well she of course threw a fit! So photo session was over. Maybe next month they ALL want to cooperate and let me get just one good picture of all 4 of them TOGETHER!

When in Oklahoma, dress as an Oklahoman

So, Morgan got some new boots a few weeks ago and has insisted she wear them to church every week! LONG SIGH from mom......She has 2 pairs of perfectly good church shoes but NO, she has to wear her boots. So today I decided to get a picture of this great outfit.
Disclosure to my Oklahoma friends....I was told by someone at church that Morgan's attire was perfectly fine because we are in Oklahoma and everyone wears their boots.

Morgan's best friend. Kettie has become Morgan's side kick, they love to chase one another and roll in the grass together. It doesn't matter how many times Morgan steps on her or rolls over on her, Kettie just keeps coming back for more. In fact a few weeks ago, Morgan caught Kettie's foot in the door. Both dog and child were wailing with tears, Kettie was so worried about hearing Morgan she kept trying to walk to her and lick her. It was truly an unconditional love moment.

Bag Lady

My new holds everything Sunday bag! No more having to carry a bag of coloring supplies for Morgan and another with diapers for Kordale. I love the crazy, busy colors!
It's big enough that if I decide to "go green" I can take it grocery shopping.

A look into the future

This was Jordan at age 2, it was then and there that we said NO JEEP for Jordan and McKelle. So Jordan has been car shopping ever since. Here's what she came up with today.

Hard to believe it's only 4 years away and this can be a real scenario...better not take part in the "cash for clunkers" just yet, we are going to be needing that clunker!

A visit from Grandma Jackie

Grandma Jackie came to visit the day after Michelle and the troops left. We did a whirl wind house cleaning and washing the bedding. She came armed and ready with sewing projects for us to work on. The girls are wanting me to bet busy making more doll clothes with them. I am getting the bug for Christmas crafts.

It's our year for quilts from Grandma. Kordale's is a monkey theme and Tori's is all about horses. I haven't let Kordale use his yet because he will surely puke on it and Tori loves sleeping with hers every night!
Tori even helped in the process of finishing her quilt. It was good for the girls to see how much time and effort is put into making a quilt. I know it is something will forever cherish.
Kordale wasn't to sure about all the people coming and going in the house, but he loved to be held and talked to.
Kettie was sure to keep an eye on grandma and getting her share of attention.
We got out of the house and went to the driving range, where the golfing lessons took place.
Then we came home and had a birthday party for everyone.
We finished off grandma's visit with a trip to the aquarium.

The girls had a great time touching the sting rays and seeing so many familiar animals from the ocean. Made me very island hungry...I really miss those days of floating on the water watching the fish swim beneath me.Thanks Grandma Jackie for the fun visit and the quilts.

Double Trouble

These two were meant to be twins...we just know it! They have spent more years apart then living near one another yet they still come up with the same little sayings (such as "I wanna hold you"), mischeiveousness, and interests. Thankfully, the good lord decided it would be to much for one mom to handle so they came about 5 months apart. But believe me when they get together you better be on the ball.

UMMMM....chocolate frosting!
The princesses have arrived. Don't mind they had to share the costume...seems to be the only one they really liked!

Fun in the sun and mud!
