The Long Awaited Update!

WARNING!!! It's a LONG one!!

We tried our ankles at rollerskating in March...
Kordale didn't mind just watching from the bench

and Morgan came away with a very sore rear!

Toward the end of the night Kordale finally escaped the skates and tried to hide in the lockers!

We some how managed to make it through middle school basketball with Jordan and none of us got escorted out of the gym.

Watching Morgan play youth league ball was almost just as painful!

For Spring Break in April we headed south in search of some fun and sun...we sorta found the sun, between the rain drops in Portland; but fun was everywhere!

Big kids and little kids all found something to do at the amusement park.

We burned rubber on the bumper car track,

and spun until we couldn't spin anymore!

We then went in search for animals like us at the zoo!

We found a friend of Morgan's hanging out in the monkey exhibit, but they wouldn't let us leave our monkey behind.

We even stopped to feed the birds.

Easter weekend brought with it some sunshine and warmth!!

The easter bunny was good to all the kids and left them plenty of goodies and eggs to hunt.

Now that May is here, we can be found at the softball fields nearly every night of the week.

It gets a littel tricky when they all play the same night at seperate fields, but so far we haven't lost our minds or had dinner at 9 PM! I think that's an accomplishment in itself.

Kordale just prepares for whatever weather we encounter! And that my friends is life at the Burt Farm these days! (More about this to come)

In need of an update

I know, I have really fallen behind with my blogging this past year. I have no excuses other then mother of 4, head taxi driver, chief cook and dishwasher, head housekeeper, bookkeeper, blah, blah, blah! I'm sure you get the idea- I'm busy!

A week in the sunshine and lights!

We left the snow and rain behind and headed to SUNNY Las Vegas for the Western Veterinary Conference for the week.
It was an adventure getting there, we even designed a new stroller for those travelling with toddlers on late night flights.

But once we got there and felt the warmth of the desert air we were ready for FUN!
By day we would spend long hours indoors at the convention center or walking the 1.5 miles from our hotel room to the convention during the day, but at night we would head outdoors!

We sought out the stars and found that just because the sign says OPEN 24 HOURS doesn't really mean they are. In the morning when we went back to the "Pawn Stars" shop and we got to see Chumm Lee, one of the guys from the show. (Look closely, he's standing by the display case in black)

We saw all the glitz and art of the strip while reuniting with old friends. It was great getting to see all of you and wish we had more time to spend together.

In all I think it's safe to say everyone had a great time!

those who were seeing Las Vegas for the first time.

No more diapers!

It would be nice if that were the case.

We heard Kordale in bed making a bunch of noise so Chad went to retrieve him and this is what he found. A half naked little boy taking off his diaper!

We fixed that problem and his pj's get a safety pin at night now.

However, I think we will be trying our luck at the potty chair soon.

To go private or not?

So people who read our blog, please send me your opinion.
I have noticed Chad and the vet practice have been searched a number of times and therefore our family blog is being viewed by the searchers. Which we don't have anything on here that is harmful or bad, it's just a littel weird feeling like we are being stalked.
So I am asking those faithful readers, will you still want to view our family craziness if you have to be allowed permission? Let me know and to those of you reading this via a search for the veterinarian of the family let me know who you are and maybe I won't even need to go private.

Hello Sunshine!

Oh I bet you thought I meant the real sun :)

I did!

It was a welcome relief to see the sun this past week. Kordale enjoyed running around in nothing but his diaper while playing his favorite tune on his head!
