Daylight has come

Hurricane Omar is gone and we are all safe and sound. We listened to the wind, rain and thunder most of the night. Our power went out at about 1:30 AM and we are still without any. Not sure if that's due to the storm or our time for load shedding.
We went out this morning and took pictures of the waves and the destruction the sea did to the beaches. I will post pictures later when I have time to go through them all. I just wanted to get this out so everyone back in the states knew we were fine.

Thanks for the update! I get on my computer and read this story (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gVWjsPEiqe1tEu2mhBIRaxxGi8owD93RJEPO0) with a convenient little map on it. It says northern islands and I'm like, I wonder where St. Kitts is... yep, northern! I'm glad you're alright! I can just see you sipping hot chocolate while the storm rages. ;)

Your kids don't know hot chocolate but mine have no idea what lobster is. Glad you survived and with Hot Chocolate... thrived!

Glad all is well. I lost you about 10:30 for good so I figured power was out. I am curious to see the pictures.
