Surfing adventures

Beach Day

The coastline is a little different then what Morgan would describe the beach is like, but the waves still beacon to be played in and the sand still feels warm beneath our feet.

We find cool rivers flowing into the ocean

and cold waves chasing at our feet,
but the sand is still a baby's favorite thing to play in!!

Old Fashioned 4th of July

We rode the train over and over again, but still didn't get enough!

Kordale had a turn at trying to be a vampire, but the teeth were just to big.

The girls ran their hardest trying to run the foot races and got a reward of getting their faces painted.
Kordale's reward for enduring the day was a nice cold ice cream cone! YUM!!
We stood out in the rain to watch the parade go by and it was almost like halloween with all the candy they collected.
Morgan showed off her patriotism with flags and was the hit of the parade. Everyone continually said, "look how cute that little girl is!"
Kordale got tired of watching the cars and floats go by and finally closed his eyes just in time for us to get in the train and be part of the parade.

We even had an 'Edward, Bella and Alice' sighting. Afterall, this is Forks!

The marching band was in the form of an orchestra and they weren't marching but hitching a ride on a trailer (string instruments were in the back of the truck undercover, since it was raining)
Chad got to be the train engineer for the parade and snaked us down highway 101 while we threw candy out the back.

Happy 4th of July!!

Tubing the mighty river

We took the last weekend in Utah and dedicated it to FUN! David and Katrina Morris came and spent it with us so we headed off to Lava Hot Springs and went tubing on the Portneuf River.

Tori and McKenzie were not going to let the cold water leave them on shore.

Morgan wasn't to sure about the whole adventure, especially with seeing her sister get bucked off the tube.

The kids enjoyed the ride much better after we rented a LARGE 4 man tube.

It was a beautiful, sun shiny day!

We finished off our weekend of fun with Aggie Ice Cream. Can't leave Cache Valley without that yummy flavor in your mouth!

The great birthday cake!

Happy Birthday to Kordale! He loved having everyone sing to him, but wasn't to sure about how to blow out the candle. First he tried to pick at the cake to eat it,

then he tried the mouth only approach,

after we cut a slice out of the cake he got a little braver and tried to pick up the cake,
but when it was all done, he still wore it nicely!
Thank you Aunt Wendi for the yummy train cake! It was a big hit with this one year old!!

Where have we been the past 3 weeks?

Our new song is "On the Road Again" We have logged quite a few miles on the car lately and it's given us ALOT of time to ponder and wonder just what will be our next step.

Kordale got to take his first plane ride

He also turned 10 months old in the midst of all our travels

We did take some time out to enjoy an old friend Brenn Hill and the talent he has been blessed with.
We have seen alot of the land...

and alot of these...
but of course we made time for the water!

For now we are left to wonder where the road will take us next!

Spring Break

After arriving home from Easter at Grandma's house in Nevada the kids started their Spring Break. Despite the freezing February temperatures outisde, we tried to make the best of it when the sun did shine.

We hung out at the park like a bunch of monkeys!
Kordale experienced the thrill of zipping down a slide!

We celebrated Marshel's birthday and made new friends.

For the weekend we went and wrestled with the sheep on mom's class field trip.
We explored things from days gone by,

and wondered how this old relic ever plowed a field!
