I promise she really did get to have a cake,

and presents

The great birthday cake!

Happy Birthday to Kordale! He loved having everyone sing to him, but wasn't to sure about how to blow out the candle. First he tried to pick at the cake to eat it,

then he tried the mouth only approach,

after we cut a slice out of the cake he got a little braver and tried to pick up the cake,
but when it was all done, he still wore it nicely!
Thank you Aunt Wendi for the yummy train cake! It was a big hit with this one year old!!

She's 6 already!

It doesn't seem that long ago that this we brought home this little bundle of pink. Her dad was just beginning the journey of school and here we are 6 years later, her dad is nearly finished with the journey. I never thought this little girl would be such a companion to me while we went on this journey, but I'm so glad she came along when she did to keep me company.
I've found 6 of some of my favorite memories with Morgan and a few stories to share.

Morgan Amber, 2 days old. We were all so happy to have her join our family.
Everyday Morgan would stand at the door and wave to the school bus as her sisters went off to school. She was always so sad when they left, but happy to have the house and mom to herself. She really liked the days Dad got home early from school and got to go places with him.
Where there was a dog and 'cuppie' you could find Morgan.
Our little Caribbean Fish!
Such a wonderful big sister.
When the house gets quiet, we go looking. Even though it often gets her in trouble, I love how Morgan likes to explore and discover life. I also like when she sings about her findings.
Morgan, we hope you have a wonderful birthday! You have always been our families ray of sunshine.
We love you!!

Jordan's Birthday 3 times over

Seems Jordan always scores multiple birthday wishes throughout the week of her birthday. This year was no different.

It started on Wednesday when she got a birthday cake delivered from Sister Hansen, Jordan's acheivement day leader. She also got a special package in the mail from Grandma Jackie with her quilt inside.

On the actual day of her big 12, mom delivered flowers to school for her.

On Friday she had a friend over from school and they partied all night. Chad was on call that night so we took the cake and went to celebrate at the clinic. The girls were in heaven! They think that's a great place for a party...afterall they can act like animals and no one will think they are out of place, they blend right in with all the other cows, horses, goats and llamas :)

Morgan's Birthday

We had Morgan's birthday party on Saturday before her actual day. This was the first party Morgan has had where she invited friends and delivered invitations. She was so excited!
The big day came and of course Aunt Wendi produced a beautiful castle cake for the two princesses we were honoring (Amelia's birthday is the day after Morgan).

We all went to the park and had a fun time on the swings, slide and monkey bars. (Sorry have to lean sideways for this pic...couldn't get it to rotate)
Candles dooned both sides of the cake. Two for Amelia and five for Morgan.

Amelia really enjoyed the cake and decided to wear it also.
Getting presents was alot of fun for Morgan and everything she opened she would say "This is just what I wanted!"
Last night for her actual day, we made a mini princess cake. I know the decorating is a little scarey, but hey I'm not the professional. Morgan was thrilled anyway and smiled big when we sang Happy Birthday to her.

Jordan's Birthday Celebration

We started off the festivities on Wed., Jordan's actual birthday. She opened her gifts from the family. Jordan was so happy to see a giraffe blanket made by grandma. She was also happy to get an "I am a Child of God" locket from me and Chad.

Saturday we held a party with her friends. She wanted to incorporate giraffe's so we decided on a safari party. Look at these great adventurer's...they roasted hot dogs on the BBQ!

Grandpa was a little more adventurous and showed the younger kids how to roast on the brickets. Boy don't send us out to the savanna for a safari...LOL!
They did make safari hats though and put some leopard print ribbon and jewels on them. Even Rielly got in on the bling action.

Aunt Wendi spent hours making this giraffe cake for Jordan and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Jordan just wanted to look at it.
Can she blow out all 11 candles with one breath? I think she managed. We always knew she was full of hot air!
After cake it was time to open more presents. She is excited to go spend her gift cards to buy a new game for her DS and maybe some hair clips.
